In My White Tee
Don’t you just love those lazy days when the sun is shining bright? I know I do. I was heading over to my book editing job after house sitting my friend. Even though I wasn’t dressed to the nines per se, I still felt like a good old around the way girl. Rocking my white tee, ripped black jeans, and fresh white kicks, I must say all the mattered was my smile. Do you agree?

Her Travels: Besitos from Barcelona pt. 2
So I took a lot more shots in this dress than I had thought. Of course I had to show more face and bless you all! Again, I enjoyed Barcelona the second time around. A lot more than I did when I had visited years earlier. My suggestion is to always visit places with an open mind and be respectful of the locals. More often than not, you’ll find that people really want to be helpful. Tons enjoy teaching you about their culture and place as well. I’m so glad I gave Barcelona a second chance.
On another note, this city loves graffiti. There seemed to be tons of graffiti on all the buildings. Most of it looked to be legally placed as well. Of course I had no complaints. I only wish I knew which artist drew what.
Her Travels: Barcelona Besos Baby!
This isn’t the first time I have been to Barcelona. Oh no, in fact I had gone there once before many moons ago. I had eaten something prepared not quite right and got what the locals call ” la tourista”, or what I like to call food poisoning. It wasn’t fun and I hated every moment of that experience. Which also lead me to hate Barcelona. I took it that I couldn’t eat there and therefore I would starve in said place.
Not one to stay angry for long, I decided to give the place a second chance. Boy, am I glad that I did! I ate good food and had an amazing time on the beach, just soaking up the sun! I also found some amazing graffiti, as you can very well see. I have many more shots to come, so keep your eyes peeled for them. In the meantime, enjoy me frolicking along the Catalonian streets in my black and white striped dress against the black and white hands. Besitos!

Her Thoughts: Peaceful Reflection
Did you peep my jail yard pose? Only thing is I’m smiling…not very “hard” of me. But this post isn’t about my pose. I wanted to talk about something deeper. The importance of reflection. Ever since I was 18 I have been living in large cities. From NYC to Paris, and I tend to visit major cities where my friends and family live. One common factor I have noticed during my travels and residence is this. We must all take time to reflect. Especially when living in large cities, where we can feel like we’re all on top of each other.
My personal advice would be to take a walk. Not the kind where you are exercising, although those are needed as well, but one where you lose yourself. No matter the season, just go. Lose yourself and explore your thoughts. If that doesn’t seem appealing, try meditation. However, meditation can be intimidating or seem too “fro-fro” for some. Therefore, do something that will let you lose your mind for a bit and get centered. It’s worth it, I do it often and I suggest you try it out. See where you end up!
