You guys, the level of art on the walls in Barcelona is insane! I am going to have at least 5 or 6 different posts strictly dedicated to the walls and my pink dress. I went in a 2 block radius and got a majority of the photos. Please, bare with me. Yet, in my defense, isn’t that what this blog is all about…finding the beauty in everyday locations and places? I think so. I hope my posts continue to inspire you to get out there and find cool walls, cracks and crevices no matter where you are and find the beauty in them. After all, we are all artists in our own rightful way. Once again, this simple pink dress makes for the perfect outfit concerning the beautiful background. I’m in love and I never thought I would ever set foot in Barcelona again after catching food poisoning back in 2011…yes I held a mini grudge. What can I say, ya girl likes to eat. ha.
Meet Chef Yujia Hu of Milan’s SakanaSushi Milano restaurant. He’s dope and I’ll tell you why. He satiates not only customers tummy, but his own artistic cravings. How? By creating “Shoeshi” in his spare time. Clever name for some dope kicks, that are edible. You see, Yujia created his own tasty artful incarnations of some of your local sneakerheads favorite kicks. With the assistance of a tooth pick for the details, he has managed to not only touch upon kicks, but also recreate brand logos like The North Face and even popular Manga characters. The names of each ”shoeshi” are a clever, too: adidas “Hu-Giri” and “Nori” NMD, YEEZY “Seaweed Stripes” Zebra, Supreme “Sticky” Sliders. Based in Italy, unless you plan to travel to Milan soon, you’ll be hard pressed to try the delicious treats. However, you can buy image prints online here!

During summer 2016 I was able to learn how to DJ, Old School Style. What do I mean by old school style, I’m talking with turntables and vinyl. I also learned how to mix and scratch using Serato. I got so good, that people would stop and ask questions about my DJing or simply stare. You know, everyone loves to see a girl kick some a**, especially in areas where we typically see men dominate. I strongly suggest everyone take the time to try and learn something new, everyday if you can. It’s truly liberating.
It seems as of late every major fashion and makeup brand is set to make a statement with strong counter intuitive moves. From CoverGirl’s recruit James Charles, Jaden Smith’s skirt clad Louis Vuitton ad, to Maybelline’s recent pick-up of Manny Guitterez, and now Pharrell Williams becoming the first man to front Chanel’s handbag campaign. Sporting the “Gabrielle” bag in a new crocodile version, iconic creative director Karl Lagerfeld that he chose Williams because he wants to show that the bag is designed to be worn by everyone. Pharrell seems to be really big on the whole bag, in fact stating that he carries it around in real life too. Okay now, go on with your bad self. Final word: I’m digging how fashion is helping to blur the lines between what men and women can wear, yet both parties can actively hold on to their masculinity or femininity. Dope.
