You see that, that’s me smiling like I know a huge secret. I could’t help myself. Bretagne, otherwise known as Brittany, reminds me so much of Martha’s Vineyard where I grew up. The similarities are uncanny, right down to their Irish influence. Being from Massachusetts I can definitely relate to the location’s overall vibe. So I don’t actually have a huge secret. I am just happy because food was coming, yummy, tasty cuisine at that and I love to eat!

Honestly, this is so hard to admit to, but over the years I was not ready to actually start blogging. With so many different blogs out there, why on earth should I even start one? What makes me so different? Where the f*ck do I even begin? I originally had every intention of fully starting my blog and steadfastly sticking to it since, well, 2012. However, I never did due to a lot of things. Some reasons being confidence, fear of embarrassment, lack of encouragement, overall I was uninspired. Years later I have come full circle to this moment. Noticing this insane desire to finally start producing content for my blog, I am, starting today. If it only comes to one dedicated follower, so be it. With that being said, I present to you the new and improved website, along with my experiences that have been dying to be showcased to the world. For those who stumble upon my page, welcome. My only hope is that you feel compelled to stay around for a while and find my words comforting, honest and true. Namaste.
Elie Saab has been one of my favorites since I first saw Jennifer Lopez wearing one of the designer’s gowns to an award show. The elegant style, ethereal beauty, and extremely feminine aesthetic floor me. I’m a fan of grunge, rock, almost goth dark looks, but also really girly at the same time. Saab’s Fall RTW line engulfed all of those attributes and won me over, once again. Below, find some of my favorite looks.
I remember the first time I walked into the Vêtements showroom one cold afternoon a couple years ago, I knew i was witnessing a brand that would blow. They already had the support of Kanye, who holds influence over many. Not only this, but their hush-hist approach to secrecy concerning the brand would also propose their eventual overturn of the fashion industry. With streetwear becoming the mode all over again, their anti-conservative, streetwear with uber French counter authority attitude would win. I mean, they made boots with lighters for the heel; genius. Their Fall 2017 show didn’t leave me with any concerns or disappointments. It was smart, thoughtful, and the choice of models whom appeared to be just everyday people, dressed in outfits that one would assume a person with their air and face would wear. I was also very much digging the older people who were strutting their stuff, as I am really against ageism. Please, don’t take my word for it, just peep some of my favorites below.
It’s July, and unlike my close family and friends back home on the east coast who seem to be enjoying a hot, steamy and satisfying summer, it’s freezing here in Paris. Well not literally freezing, but it is not the expected seasonal temperature or even drastically warm for that matter. On top of it all, we have rain! With that being said, I decided to upgrade the crappy day by sporting a bright yellow dress. Was it a success?
